We just got back from the Bluegrass In The Forest festival in Shelton, WA. I can't say enough about what a great and well put together event this is. Greg Linder and all of the folks associated with the the Festival do a first rate job in every aspect. I highly recommend the festival! I also wanted to say thanks to all the mandolin players at the workshop and mandolin tasting we had on Saturday. I hope they all had as much fun as I did!

You mean 'The Old Man Came Home From The Forest'? ha ha, just kidding, buddy...I should talk!

Somebody posted a vid on the cafe of you on SWG on a strong sounding A style. Sounded great, hoss.

Good luck this summer touring.

Thanks man! That lady makes great mandolins! Super A style I played of hers. It was early in the morning so my playing may have been a little rough......disclaimer!

Thanks for doing the tasting Alan! I got lots of positive comments from folks I talked to. I hope you and the band had a good time at the festival...
Oh yeah, I really like the Young Mando Monsters Cd I got from you... that should be mandatory listening for all players!

Hi Nolan,
It was truly a pleasure my friend. We all had a great time and I thought the way you conducting the tasting was the best yet for me! Played some great mandos too! I loved it!Everyone was so nice and hospitable to us. It was great meeting you and I hope we get to see you again before long. stay in touch when you can.

Alan,

It sure was exciting having you and Grasstowne at our “Bluegrass From The Forest” festival. It was an awesome weekend with Grasstowne “in the house” and we’re all still buzzing about it around here.

A big thank you also to our good friends Greg and Nolan for doing such a great job hosting the event.

As a mandolin builder, having you play a few of my mandolins at the tasting was a big thrill so thank you so much for that.
